  WISHES WITHOUT WILL

The mind works on information received marvellously within a short moment of time.  A lot of ideas, suggestions, perceptions, imaginations, considerations and conceptualizations can flash in the mind in a twinkling of an eye.  Among major pleasant preoccupations is the desire for something good we want to have or become.  Teenagers express countless number of wishes in their periods of fantasy.  That is why it is common among youths of today to find majority who wish to be doctors, lawyers, engineers, scientists and the like. While it is a good exercise to wish for great achievements in life, we must not forget the need for an equal will power to accomplish our wishes.  What distinguishes the achievers from the losers is the will power to work on their wishes to a logical end.  It is common to find that all students express wishes for success but not every student exert appropriate will power for success.  A wish minus the will power however will not produce success. To have wishes without will symbolizes the weak personality of a wishful thinker.  Students with this trait are not consistent in their plans, promises and goal pursuit.  They are usually unstable and undependable.  When wishful thinkers prepare a good time-table they will not follow it.  These are students who will set goals they will never pursue, set out actions plans they will not follow and desire for success but will not labour to achieve it.  They have weak stamina that is inconsistent with the rigour of success.

Today's text brings to you the possibility of divine touch to your will power.  God works in His children both to will and to do His good pleasure.  The working power of God is possible in your life if you surrender your heart to Him.  Make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life today and let Him reign in your heart (Revelation 3:21)

Challenge   Wishes plus will is equal to power.

Prayer         Heavenly Father, grant unto me the will power to realise my wishes.
