POOR APOSTLES?
“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” (Acts 3:6).

If Peter were alive today, as a leader how time changes! Can you imagine “a man of God” like Peter telling before the church could he still have lacked silver and gold? Apostle Peter could be poor in money matters but there is no doubt he was a very wealthy man. Yes, Peter was rich in Jesus. Read his confession again and note the phrase “such as I have give I thee”. The man had the name of Jesus and because he had the name of Jesus, he had the power of Jesus. He had the wealth of Jesus. He had the health of Jesus. He had the wisdom of Jesus. He had the ability of Jesus. He had the knowledge of Jesus. He also had the continuous fellowship of Jesus.
No doubt about it, Peter was not poor at all! He had everything that he needed through Jesus. You too can have Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today. When you do, then you have His power, wealth, health, life and presence; just like Peter had. To have Jesus is to have everything that you need. Praise the Lord!

Challenge: Jesus is Lord of all.
Prayer: Open my eyes dear Father so that I can                                             understand that Jesus is all the world to me.
