A HELPING HAND

“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).

Human beings are gregarious in nature. One of the greatest challenges that can happen to anyone is to be isolated and live alone outside the social community of other human beings. Every individual needs the company of other fellows on daily interactions to make progress in life. No man is an island of knowledge. You need others while others need you to render a helping hand on success pursuits. You can assist your fellow students to discover their gifts, talents and abilities that God has deposited in their lives through purposeful interactions. The strengths and weaknesses of others can be identified through you if you play a good servant role in their academic adventures.

There could be many areas where your fellow students may need your help. There are students who have financial challenges that may need your benevolence. Some students may be weak in certain subjects where God has graciously helped you to be outstandingly good. God will expect that you help such students in their bid to strengthen themselves through tutorial classes. You can render a helping hand to students who are down who need to be lifted up, discouraged who need encouragement, sorrowful who need to be comforted and backward who need to be moved forward. Someone has said that the best way to get out of your own troubles is to help others out of theirs. You can begin this good work of helping others today by starting with someone.

Challenge: Someone needs your help today.
Prayer: Dear Lord, give me the compassion to be helpful to others in their life challenges.
